Ingredients
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 8 slices day-old bread
- 1/4 cup honey
- butter or margarine
Sauce
- 1 cup honey
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
Directions
In shallow dish, combine eggs with milk, honey, and salt. Add bread slices, 1 at a time, to egg mixture. Coat each side completely.
Fry until golden brown on both sides in small amount of butter. Combine remaining honey, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons butter. Serve over toast.
